Why You Need to Wear Proper Motorcycle Riding Gear Even in the Summer

Even under the oppressive summer sun, forgoing proper biking gear is like inviting trouble. It is not strictly a necessity to wear a full-riding jacket, boots, trousers, and helmet, but a sturdy pair of shoes, full trousers or jeans, helmet, and at the least a protective vest that protects the majority of your body is an absolute must.  Road burns can be extremely deadly, especially in the summer months when the concrete or asphalt is already at high temperatures. In such cases, it is very easy for debris to melt onto the skin in case there is an accident, and your bare skin is dragged across the asphalt.  Even the most minimal riding gear, such as a denim or padded vest, can significantly reduce the surface area of the road burn and save you a lot of pain.
